Imagine sitting on top of a sand dune in the desert, looking up at a million stars in the night sky or riding a camel through a vast and empty desert. On this visit, you will take a step back in time as you wander through the exotic streets of Morocco’s imperial city (Fez) and step into the magical bazaars that lie on every corner. We will veer off the beaten track and explore the scenic village of Azrou and the beautiful Cedar Forest, where you can play with wild monkeys and enjoy the serenity of nature. We will visit the famous imperial city of Morocco, Fez (cultural capital), Meknes (Imperial), and ride camels in the middle of the Sahara Desert.

Foreigners are reminded to watch the number of tickets they are allowed on their visa for Spain because if they only have the single entry visa they might get into trouble with the Spanish police.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

The customer may cancel the requested or contracted services at any time being entitled to the refund of the amounts that he or she would have paid. However, the customer will have to compensate the organizer or retailer of the indicated amounts below:

Management fees: 100€ (non refundable) 

In addition to:

  • a) A penalty consisting of 50% of the total amount of the trip, if the cancellation occurs more than ten and less than fifteen days* before the date of the trip's commencement.
  • b) A penalty consisting of 75% of the total amount of the trip, if the cancellation occurs between the third and tenth day* before the date of the trip's commencement.
  • c) A penalty consisting of 100% of the total amount of the trip, if the cancellation occurs within forty-eight hours prior to departure.
  • If the customer does not show up at the exit, he is obliged to pay the total amount of the trip or pay the outstanding amounts, if applicable.

  • You must show the ticket you receive automatically in your e-mail address after your purchase
  • The one day trip excursions are not subject to any kind of refund.
  • If you sell your ticket to someone, a 5€ fee is applied and you must inform us via info@erasmusclubsevilla.com, if you don't, the sold ticket won't be valid. (The 5€ are to be paid in cash the day of the trip to the staff).
  • If you buy your ticket with the ECS Card discount, you must show your card the day of the trip before departure
  • Published departure times may vary depending on existing traffic or traffic problems. Erasmus Club Sevilla is not responsible for delays due to external factors.
  • The latest indications will be sent by email to all buyers in the days prior to departure.
  • Buses must have a minimum of 35 occupied places for the trip to take place. Customers will be notified in advance of the status of each bus occupation and if it is not complete, the full amounts will be refunded or new alternative dates will be offered for the trip.

Itinerary

ITINERARY: (Can be changed because of logistic reasons)

 

DAY 1: Seville - Algeciras - Tanger Med - Meknes - Fez

▸Meeting in Plaza Cuba.Taking our leave from there to Algeciras (Time: It is notified three days before departure)

▸Departure by fast ferry to Tanger Med. 
▸Drive until the city of Fez 

▸Arrival and visit of Fez: Beautiful city where the rich Moroccan artisan tradition is still alive today. Fez represents a lost world for the western civilizations. Founded by Moulay Idriss in 791, it is today the religious and spiritual capital of Morocco. 

Strolling through the labyrinthine streets of Fez will transport you to past worlds where potters, smiths, and artisans coexist with the foreign visitor, who never ceases to be surprised by observing its people and sniffing the many aromas and smells that flood the atmosphere of this city. 

We will start with Fez el Jedid, including the Alauitas square, exteriors of the Royal Palace and Dar el Makhzen. We will continue to the foot visit of Fez el Bali. We will visit Attarin's spice souk. We will arrive at the square of Nejjarin where the founduk of the same name is located and we will visit the madrasa of Bounania. Afterwards, we will continue to Es Seffarin square to finish the visit in the neighborhood of the tanners and see the tanneries. 

Mirrors, perfumes, chickens, pigeons, silver, gold, sandals, sandals, chilabas, drums, vegetables, fruits, pottery, forged, herbs (nothing illegal), spices, portraits of the king, cereals, books, glassware, and Everything imaginable, everything is here. The constant rattling of the donkeys, loaded with merchandise from various origins, transports you to another world only broken by the cry of "Balak" with which the owner of the animal warns the passers-by to free the way for him and his donkey.  

DAY 2: Fez - Midelt - Middle and High Atlas - Merzouga

▸07h00-07h50: Breakfast at the hotel.After the Check out, it is recommended to bring for this day only the necessary clothes and leave the rest behind, inside the bus. 

▸08h00 Departure from the hotel with all out lugguage to the bus then we will cross the middle Atlas to the population of Ifrane, a small alpine town full of houses with slate roofs, founded in 1929 as a recreation city, in about 1650 meters Of altitude. We will also cross the largest cedar forest in the world, with ancient trees and a colony of Sylvian monkeys, wild monkeys living in these forests. Watch out for them! If you’ve got some food, they will steal it from you before you realize it.

▸Free time for lunch during the way (Option of Buffet: 13€) 

▸At night in the camp, a show from the nomads awaits us, afterwards you will have the opportunity to listen to the silence of the desert and enjoy a panoramic view of the dunes. We will spend the night in Haimas "Dromedary Hair Shops" such as those used by the Desert Nomads to enjoy a Magic Night under thousands of Stars. Dinner and accommodation in that same Haimas, in the middle of the  desert.


DAY 3: Sahara Desert 

▸In the early morning, "Date with the Dawn": We recommend getting up early to see the Dawn from the dunes, words fall utterly short to describe the beauty of this sunrise.

▸Breakfast and half-day excursion in 4x4 in Merzouga and the Great Erg Chebi "Desert of Dunes of extremely thin sand in which we will see the virgin desert, we will pass by the small oases visited by the Berber nomads, Hamada (desert of stones) and places Where fossils of millions of years are found. During this excursion in 4x4 we will have many stops for pictures and to enjoy the sights. End of excursion in our Hotel

▸In the afternoon, we will enjoy a nice camel ride in the dunes and at the same time, watching the sunset. 
▸Party night at the Hotel with DJ and a Club just for us!

DAY 4: Merzouga - Fez

▸ After a typical  Berber breakfast, we will take the bus to Fez, on the way we will find dozens of ksur and kasbash, lost between palm groves and dunes, as well as marabouts and mausoleums dotted between fields surrounded by adobe walls.

▸Arrival in Fez. Check in at the hotel. 

▸21h00: Dinner at the hotel.


DAY 5: Meknes- Tanger - Algeciras - Sevilla

▸Breakfast at the hotel and check out. 06h50-07h45.

▸07:50 hrs. Departure to Meknes.

▸Visit of Meknes with a local tour guide.

▸ 10h30-11h00: Departure to Tanger. 

▸Arrival to the port and embark to Algeciras.

▸Departure from the fast ferry to Algeciras. Arrival and Transfer to Seville   

 

Boat schedules for both the outward and return routes are communicated in the final itinerary that is sent two days before the departure of the trip.

Although, we will make every effort to follow this programme, the guide reserves the right to modify the schedule due to justified force majeure.

TRANSPORTATION:  

▸Fast Ferry tourist category: Unlisted seats, free seats. The schedules are indicated in this program. Concerning the strait crossing: We will cross from Tarifa to Tangier. The schedules of the FERRYS are approximate, they will be reconfirmed 48 hours before the departure in this telephone number 954224241, since the company reserves the right to be able to modify the schedules without previous warning. The crossing takes approximately 35 minutes. The agency assumes no responsibility for loss of connections caused by delays in ferries, we recommend not to buy bus, plane or train tickets because there may be delays and it is quite common. The services will be made with the company Intershipping Bus. In Spain, the journey will be carried out in Spanish buses. Once in Morocco, the journey will be carried out by a private Moroccan bus of  48 seats. The seats are unnumbered.
